If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at the address above.
ShotTimer makes no network connection at all. The app runs no accounts, doesn’t track you, shows no ads, and uses no third-party analytics, tracking or crash-reporting SDKs. Every run and setting stays on your device alone.
What data the app stores, and where
Runs and history
Every saved run — timestamp, shot times, and optional firearm, caliber, location and discipline tags — is stored as a local file in your device’s protected app storage area. Settings are stored locally in the app’s on-device preferences. We do not have a copy of this data, cannot see it, and it is never transmitted to us or to any third party.
Microphone
ShotTimer asks for microphone access to evaluate the input level in real time and detect shots from it. Audio is never recorded, saved or transmitted; only the momentary level is evaluated.
Account
There is no account creation, no sign-in, and no device or user identifier we collect.
App Store purchases
ShotTimer is a paid download from the App Store and contains no in-app purchases. Your payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details.
Network requests
ShotTimer itself makes no network connection; there is no server the app talks to. Settings has three links that only do something when you tap them: “Support” opens our support page in Safari, “Rate ShotTimer” opens the app’s App Store page, and “Send Feedback” opens an email draft to support@gnocchiapps.eu in your mail app.
That draft already contains the app version, device model and iOS version, so we can reproduce problems faster. You see the whole draft and can change or delete these details before sending it. We only receive the email if you send it yourself, and we use it only to handle your request or feedback.
Tracking, analytics, advertising
We don’t use tracking, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting services or advertising. The app’s Apple-mandated privacy manifest declares this accordingly; on the App Store, ShotTimer is labeled “Data Not Collected”.
International data transfers
Because the app itself transmits no data, no international data transfer takes place.
Children’s privacy
ShotTimer is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your rights
Because all your data from the app lives only on your device and we hold no copy of it, you already have full control over it: delete a run in the app, or the app itself, and none of it is left with us. The only things we hold are emails you sent us yourself.
For questions, contact us at info@gnocchiapps.eu.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For us, that’s:
Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (BlnBDI)
Friedrichstraße 219, 10969 Berlin, Germany
https://www.datenschutz-berlin.de
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. The current version is always on this page.
