Precious is a catalogue for pieces of jewelry. Record what a piece is made of and what it is worth, and find it later by any of those details. Through your own iCloud, your catalogue stays up to date on all your devices.

Features
Always in sync
Your catalogue, with every piece, photo, collection and stone, stays in sync across your devices automatically through your own private iCloud. No new account needed, and we have no access to your data. Without iCloud, Precious works just the same, on that one device.
Photograph and describe
Take one or more photos (straight from the camera or from your photo library) and record name, category, maker, material and notes. The catalogue view shows your pieces as a photo grid; pinch to resize the tiles, just like in the Photos app.
Gold value built in
For gold you record fineness (karat) and weight; Precious works out the fine-gold weight and what the metal is worth at the current gold price. Stones are recorded with their count. The calculated figure is a guide to the metal value only, not an appraisal.
Value and sale status tracked separately
Every piece carries a current value and an acquired date. When you sell a piece, you record the sale date and price separately; sold pieces move into their own, greyed-out section and drop out of the catalogue’s running totals.
Filters that never dead-end
Filter by category, material, karat, maker, value range, and stones and stone type — every menu only offers choices that still return results. Active filters show as removable chips, plus full-text search across name, maker and notes, and seven sort orders.
Statistics at a glance
A dedicated statistics screen shows your catalogue’s total count and value, broken down per collection, plus total gold weight and value. Sold pieces are counted separately and kept out of the totals.
Collections
Organise pieces into collections. You can mark one as your favourite — it opens first on launch and is the default for new pieces. Every piece stays visible in the overall catalogue regardless.
Export and inventory report
Export your catalogue as a CSV file for Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. For insurance or an estate, Precious creates a PDF inventory report listing every piece you still own, with its photo, details and the total of your own values.
Private by design
Your catalogue stays with you: on your device and in your own iCloud. Precious needs no new account, carries no tracking or advertising SDKs, and sends us no catalogue data. The only request to our server fetches the gold price, with no personal identifier attached.
Built for everyday use
Precious speaks English, German, French and Italian, supports VoiceOver and your text-size setting, and respects Reduce Motion. Deleting a piece can be undone right away.
